Mining riches ( significant supplies of phosphate).

A rich and varied supplies of fish, with high exportable quality, available in the Gulf of Gabes as well as in the lakes of Boughrara and Elbibane.
Vast areas of soil suitable for agricultural exploitation (area: 829.750 hectares).
Natural fodder resources and vast range-lands (area: 3.700.100 hectares).
Varied construction materials that can be exploited and industrialized, such as clay, marble, and gypsum.
