A working session within the framework of the Project of the Collaborative Action for Artisanal Exports - Monday 27 September 2021, ODS headquarters

In preparation for the implementation of the Project of the Collaborative Action for Artisanal Exports financed by the Embassy of the United States of America in Tunis, which will be carried out by the International Family Health Organization (FHI360) in partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts, a working session was held on Monday, September 27, 2021 under the supervision of the Director General of the South Development Office with the representatives of The FHI360, during which many ideas and proposals were exchanged that would contribute to the preparation and success of this intervention, which includes providing support and assistance to the mountainous weaving sector in Dekheilat Toujan and its adjacent areas. Visit of HE the Ambassador of South Africa to the South Development Office

The General Director of the ODS welcomed, on Thursday, May 27th, 2021 at the Office Headquarters, His Excellency the Ambassador of South Africa Mr. Siphosezwe MASANGO accompanied by the communication officer, first and third secretary of the South African embassy in Tunisia. The meeting was an opportunity to go back over the discussions, started in 2019 between the Eastern Cape region of South Africa and the South East region of Tunisia (Governorates of Gabès and Medenine) for the establishment of a twinning program. The ODS staff had presented the southern region (infrastructure, wealth and investment niches). By the end, both sides had expressed their commitment to activate the process and make the necessary exchanges to prepare the memorandum of understanding between the ODS and the ECDC (Eastern Cape Development Corporation). Presentation and discussion of the development situation in the South region for the members of the regional development committee at the Assembly of People's Representatives

On Friday, June 19, 2020, the Regional Development Committee of the People's Assembly held a hearing with the general director of the Southern Development office and the regional development directors in two sessions: – the morning was devoted to present the development situation of the South and the governorates of Gafsa, Tozeur and Kébili, – The afternoon session was devoted to present the development situation in the governorates of Gabès, Medenine and Tataouine. This meeting was devoted to examining and monitoring the progress of the implementation of development projects in the southern governorates and to identifying the difficulties which impede the implementation of a number of programs and development projects at regional level, in addition to the recommendations presented by the regional parties, the proposed measures, procedures and solutions that would help to overcome difficulties and stimulate the completion of projects and improve development reality in these governorates....Plus de détails

Working meeting with HE the Ambassador of South Africa & Eastern Cape Province Delegation

Following the visit of HE the Ambassador of South Africa, accompanied by senior officials of the Province of Eastern Cape to the governorates of Medenine and Gabes during the period from 12 to 14 March 2019, a second Working session was held today thursday, June 27th, 2019, under the supervision of the General Director of the Office. The objectives of the meeting were to deepen the consultation on investment opportunities , partnership and desired areas of cooperation, and the possibility of concluding cooperation agreements between the Southern Development Office and similar institution in Eastern Cape Province.
